
MIDDLE VILLAGE, QUEENS, NY – A news report on floridanewstimes.com states that police officers are currently investigating a fatal hit-and-run pedestrian accident that killed a woman in Queens, New York. The pedestrian collision occurred at around 12:45 am on Eliot Avenue at 70th Avenue in Middle Village, New York. Law enforcement officers found the 67-year-old victim lying on the road. She was pronounced dead on the scene of the accident.
The Collision Investigation Teams with the NYPD concluded that she was walking along Eliot Avenue when a sedan that was heading eastbound struck her. The woman was then hit by an MTA bus that was also traveling eastbound long Elliott Avenue. According to the news report, both the MTA bus and the car failed to stop and render aid to the victim.
Currently, there have been no criminal charges filed or statements made by MTA. The fatal pedestrian accident is currently under investigation. In New York, motorists involved in an accident are required by law to stop, call 911, and remain at the scene to speak with police.
