Baby Bibs and Security Blankets Recalled Due to Potential Choking Hazards
The Consumer Product Safety Commission has recalled about 450,000 baby bibs and blankets. The problem? Their care labels can come off and could cause babies to choke.
Little Sleepies sells the recalled baby bib and blanket products. The recalled baby products being recalled are the Sleepyhead Lovey and the Bandana Bib. These items were sold online on the brand’s website and in boutique stores nationwide from February 2021 to September 2023. Prices for these items range from $12 to $48.
The recall was started after two reports came in about labels coming off from the Sleepyhead Lovey. Luckily, no babies have died. But, to be safe, the company is recalling these items.
What Should Customers Do?
If you bought one of these items, you have two options:
- Remove the care label yourself. Little Sleepies suggests cutting it close to the seam.
- Send the product back. Little Sleepies is offering free return shipping and a full refund.
But be aware that getting your refund might take up to 10-12 weeks after they check the returned item.
