Nationwide Pharmaceutical Initiates Recall of Iron Supplements Due to Non-Compliant Child-Resistant Packaging; Poisoning Risk

The recalled items include Nationwide Pharmaceutical’s 324 mg Ferrous Sulfate (Iron) Enteric-Coated Tablets, packaged in 100-tablet bottles. These dietary supplements are recalled due to the iron content, which by law (Poison Prevention Packaging Act or PPPA) should be in child-resistant packaging. The current packaging of the product does not meet this requirement, hence posing a poisoning risk if ingested by small children.
Nationwide Pharmaceutical can be reached at 800-697-3329 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. CT, Monday to Friday. Alternatively, emails can be sent to recalls@nwp-mail.com. Additional information can be obtained online at https://nationwidepharmaceutical.com/product-recall/ or https://nationwidepharmaceutical.com.
