The recall is for three lots of 60-count bottles of Dr. Rico Perez Super Kids’ Colostrum, which may cause food allergies because the tablets contain milk, and the packaging does not disclose the presence of milk to consumers. While milk is not a problem for most people, those with milk allergies face a severe risk of life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume the product.
According to the recall notice published by the company, “People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.” The affected lots are 1117002 (expiration date 4/30/2023), 0122003 (expiration date 7/31/2024), and 0223539 (expiration date 11/30/2025). They were sold at Dr. Rico Perez Vitamin & Supplement stores in Florida, New York, New Jersey, and California, as well as online at the company’s website.
