The recalled Icon Air Rifles come in .177 and .22 caliber variations, with model numbers CPI77S and CPI22S, respectively. The model numbers are located on the left-hand side of the rifle, while the name of the model is on the right-hand side. These PCP-Powered Bolt-Actioned air rifles were sold at various retailers nationwide, including Do It Best Hardware, True Value, Service Star, and Sportsman’s Guide stores, as well as online through Crosman’s website, Pyramyd Air, and Amazon.com, from March 2022 through March 2024, priced at approximately $310.
While only one report of an unintended discharge has been received thus far, the potential danger posed by these defective air rifles underscores the importance of consumer safety and product liability regulations. Individuals who have purchased these recalled rifles are advised to cease using them immediately and contact Crosman to arrange for a refund. Crosman is offering refunds in the form of a store credit or a refund check after the return of the air rifle.
