According to a news report on USAToday.com, Cosori has issued a recall for about 2 million air fryer units in the United States and an additional 271,000 units sold in Canada and Mexico due to reports of overheating and fire. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) received hundreds of reports of the air fryers overheating or catching fire, causing property damage and burn injuries. The CPSC has identified a defect in the recalled units that can cause wire connections to overheat and ignite a fire. The recalled air fryers come in black, blue, gray, red, or white colors, with unit sizes of 3.7 and 5.8 quarts. The model numbers under recall can be found on the product label and include the following numbers:
