According to a news report on USAToday.com, Cosori has issued a recall for about 2 million air fryer units in the United States and an additional 271,000 units sold in Canada and Mexico due to reports of overheating and fire. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) received hundreds of reports of the air fryers overheating or catching fire, causing property damage and burn injuries. The CPSC has identified a defect in the recalled units that can cause wire connections to overheat and ignite a fire. Cosori has advised owners to stop using the product and register for a free replacement on its website.
The recalled air fryers come in black, blue, gray, red, or white colors, with unit sizes of 3.7 and 5.8 quarts. The model numbers under recall can be found on the product label and include the following numbers:
- CP158-AF,
- CP137-AF,
- CS158-AF,
- CAF-P581S-BUSR,
- CO137-AF,
- CO158-AF, and
- CP258-AF.
The recalled Cosori air fryers were sold at several brick-and-mortar retailers, including Best Buy, Target, and Home Depot, as well as various online retailers, such as Amazon, eBay, and Walmart, and on the following retail websites:
- Amazon.com
- Adorama.com

- Lowes.com

The recalled air fryers were sold from June 2018 until December 2022. Cosori is urging its consumers who have purchased the recalled air fryers to stop using them and register for a replacement on its website.
Product liability victims should file a lawsuit seeking compensation because they have a legal right to be compensated for any injuries or damages they suffer as a result of a defective product. When a company manufactures and sells a product, they have a legal responsibility to ensure that the product is safe for use and free from defects. If a product is found to be defective and causes harm, the manufacturer or seller can be held liable for any injuries, property damage, or other losses that result.
Filing a lawsuit seeking compensation can help victims recover damages for lost wages, medical expenses, pain and suffering, and other losses. It can also hold manufacturers and sellers accountable for their actions, potentially preventing similar harm from happening to others in the future.
Additionally, filing a lawsuit can help victims obtain justice for the harm they have suffered. They can tell their story, hold the responsible parties accountable, and seek compensation to help them move forward after an often traumatic experience. A successful lawsuit can also prompt companies to improve their product safety measures and practices, potentially preventing future harm to others.
